Shopping
Ardrossan (25km) has a brand new Foodland Supermarket, a new shopping mall under construction, Hardware, Clothing, Chemist, Bank SA, and other stores. Kadina (45km) has Woolworths, IGA, Target, Banks, and numerous shops. Kadina is the main shopping centre.Wallaroo has a $30 million Shopping Centre planned. Port Wakefield (25km), as part of the new marina complex, is currently building new shopping facilities that includes a Woolworths Supermarket. Clinton Shores is only 2km from the Port Clinton General Store which has a wide range of Groceries, Fresh food, Fuel, Post Office, and a good Bottle Shop!
Medical
At Ardrossan (25km) there is a private Community Hospital (including Aged Care) and an excellent new Community Health Centre, including Dentistry, a Chemist, and the St.John Ambulance Service. At Maitland (50km) there is a Public Hospital, plus Aged Care, and at Wallaroo (55km) there is a Public Hospital, with Pathology and XRay Services. At Kadina (45km) there are Dental and Optometry Services.
Communication
Clinton Shores will have Telstra land line telephone services. Telstra 2G and 3G mobile services are available. There is a dedicated Telstra NextG service at Port Clinton that gives full signal strength and Internet access speed. Internode Wireless DSL service is also available, giving City level Broadband speed at City Prices. Voip services are also available over the Internode connection. Internode connection is free via the Australian Government Broadband Guarantee.

Excellent digital television reception of all Adelaide Stations can be obtained with a normal gutter mount aerial.

Port Clinton has a good caravan park with cabin units, only a few minutes walk from Clinton Shores. As well there are a number of Holiday and Short-term rental Houses available.
Boat Ramp
A tidal concrete boat ramp and excellent beach launch exists on the beach at Port Clinton, 1.2km.
